WE ARE OUR MOUNTAINS
Solo Exhibit
November 10-Nov 19 2023, Berlin

We Are Our Mountains highlighted painted Armenian topography through playful structures and vibrant palettes as a parallel documenting of the Artsakh Blockade that ended in 2023. The majority of the work was painted on Instagram Live sessions during the Mass Exodus of indigenous Artsakh residents forcibly removed from their homes. The exhibit was subsequently presented as an interactive walk of the digital experience of war. Themes of heritage preservation, loss of identity and homeland were presented using bright illuminative mixed media techniques and were staged to create a meditative pathway and sense of stillness for viewers.
